Believe it or not, I've never had the need to use "fred's list" until now.  My nephew who graduated from law school 10 years ago is in default of his student loans and, because of penalty interest, owes between $150,000 to $200,000, with monthly payments nearing $2,000 a month.
 
I would like to find an accountant, lawyer or debt counselor to negotiate lower monthly payments with a longer payout.  As I'm sure you know, student loans are not dischargeable in bankruptcy, thus giving my nephew no leverage with respect the 4 or 5 entities which must be paid each month.
 
I wonder if anyone in the network might be able to help.
