[Fredslist] LCD projector + dvd player for presentation

Has anyone used this combination to show a powerpoint?  Any advice they 
want to share?

Anyone have an LCD projector they want to rent me at a reasonable low 
rate?  Or recommend a very low cost AV place?

We want to do this without a laptop -- your help Gotham!
