Dear Gothamites:

Just when you believe there may be light at the end of the tunnel it gets
dark again.

My husband, Ken, while cutting the last section of a floor board with a
table saw, sustained severe cuts to his pinkie, ring and middle finger on
his right hand. He was flown from Albany to The Westchester Medical Center
due to the severity of the injuries and the quality of the trauma team.
After four hours of micro surgery the doctors were successful in repairing
Ken's middle finger and pinkie, including inserting a pin in his pinkie.
Unfortunately, because there was too much bone loss on his ring finger they
were not able to reattach the section and needed to amputate part of that
finger.

Ken had been rushing to do repair work in the past few days in preparation
for Alexandra moving up to Albany today after her release from Norwalk
hospital. I am working at other plans for her now because she does not want
to go back to her mother's home. Yet, her mother was appointed the
temporary conservator and has a say in any plans.

Ken will be in the hospital for a week or so and then brought to NYC for
rehabilitation before he can go back to our home in Albany.

Please keep him in your prayers. The past few months have been particularly
difficult for us.
